In Azusa street, there was a preacher who had never been filled with the Holy Ghost before. He preached a sermon stating that the first evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit was spreaking in tongues. Since he had never recieved the Holy Spirit, he was kicked out of the church. He set up his own Bible study and after weeks of prayer and fasting, he got filled with Holy Ghost Power. Most Christians today, disregard the baptism of the holy spirit as something that "happened in Acts". Some believe miracles don't happen today but were just for the "Old Testament".
